Tipsy Taco to Open in StoneCrest

Posted on March 1, 2021

Tipsy Taco expects to open its first North Carolina restaurant in the Ballantyne area in early-to-mid April.

Known for “Tex-Mex with a Little Twist,” the restaurant will take over the former Cantina 1511 location in the StoneCrest Shopping Center located at 7708 Rea Road.

On the “Tipsy” side, Tipsy Taco will serve signature cocktails and frozen margarita flights. As for “Tacos,” a scratch-made kitchen will turn out tacos, nachos, fajitas, burritos, enchiladas and more.

Tipsy Taco is a well-established brand that started in Greenville, South Carolina. It has expanded to six South Carolina locations and has plans to grow in North Carolina, especially the Charlotte area. Tipsy Taco remains locally owned and operated and is not part of a franchise system.

“We are extremely happy to bring Tipsy Taco to the Charlotte market,” says Corporate District Manager Rachel Miller.

“With the success we have had in the Greenville market and the demand from our customer base to expand, it was a logical choice to come to StoneCrest. We have a beautiful building there and can’t wait to show Charlotte what Tipsy Taco has to offer. We look forward to joining the Ballantyne community!”
