Typical day

Get up between 4:30 and 5:05 a.m., work out in our home gym, then listen to audiobooks on my commute into Dilworth. Some days, I’m rounding in the hospital, seeing patients with infectious disease-related issues (COVID-19 or non-COVID-19). Others, I’m analyzing data or doing educational sessions for various groups. I get home around 7 p.m. and go to bed embarrassingly early!

Favorite beverage

Bai coconut water (with a wee bit of vodka if I’m off the clock and not on call).

Kevin Young

Hometown: Honolulu, Hawaii

Typical day

I wake up at 4:30 a.m. for a group workout, eat breakfast with family, do Bible study and mentoring, then film cool things for awesome clients, produce epic videos, enjoy family time with my wife and two kids and get some ZZZ.

Providence Plantation, just northwest of Ballantyne,
has been my home since 2010.

Water. I’m allergic to alcohol, so I don’t drink.

Typical day

The alarm goes off at 6 a.m. I spend time with my girls before heading to the office at 8 a.m. I come home at 6 p.m. after a workout. If I have court, I’m at the office by 6:30 a.m. and don’t make it home until late.

My wife Emily’s breakfast smoothie: spinach, frozen strawberries, banana, Greek yogurt, chia seeds and a splash of OJ.
