Job: Optometrist and Clinical Director, Carolinas Vision Group

What do you like most about your work?

I love that I’m in a service occupation and interact with people from all aspects of life.

Do you live in Ballantyne?

My husband and I just relocated to Pineville last year. After four years of commuting (to Ballantyne) from Huntersville, it was time to move.

What did you want to be when you were a kid?

An architect, until I received a model eye for Christmas in the seventh grade.

Job: Associate Executive Director, Sara’s YMCA, Morrison Family YMCA

Do you live in Ballantyne?

We have lived in and around Ballantyne for about 10 years.

What did you want to be when you were a kid?

A K-9 police officer.

What’s your favorite thing to do in Ballantyne?

I love to run into kids that have grown up through the Y. It is cool to see “Y kids” working in Blakeney or at Harris Teeter, home from college, and even graduates, moving back and working for companies right here in Ballantyne Corporate Park.

What do you like most about your work?

Helping families and gaining lifelong friends through the process.

Do you live in Ballantyne?

I live off Providence Road. I have been in south Charlotte for about 19 years.

What did you want to be when you were a kid?

A doctor and study medicine at Duke Medical School.
