Ballantyne resident?

I live in the Rocky River area of Charlotte, but I work in and frequent Ballantyne for dining and cycling.

Coke.

Carla J. Bryson

Hometown: Gastonia, North Carolina

Job: Managing Attorney and Owner, Bryson Legal Services, PLLC

Typical day

I wake up before the sun rises. My goal is to be out the door by 8 a.m. to start the workday. As a real estate attorney, my day varies based on the demands of clients and those I work closely with. After a productive day, I look forward to relaxing with a good book and conversation.

Ballantyne resident?

I moved to Indian Land, South Carolina, two years ago with the intention of being near Ballantyne.

Favorite beverages

Coke Zero. After 5 p.m., I add a little rum.

Martha Grant

Hometown: Nashville, Tennessee

Job: Membership Director, Sara’s YMCA, Group Exercise Instructor, Morrison Family YMCA

Typical day

Wake at 4:15 a.m. and get to the gym by 5 a.m. for a fun YMCA class or a run. Then back home to shower and out the door to Sara’s Y for the day. I not only assist with membership needs but also with health journeys and relationship building. Then, it’s back home for a walk, dinner and early to bed.

Ballantyne resident?

Yes, for 15 years.
