Power Afterhours with Upbeat Barre

Head over to Ballantyne’s Backyard at 6 p.m. for Power Afterhours featuring a 45-minute Upbeat Barre class with Kaycie Foster. UpBeat Barre combines movements from pilates, yoga and traditional barre formats to provide a low-impact, high-energy class set to upbeat music. The workout will stream through noise-isolating DropSound silent disco headphones to help participants tune out the distractions and tune into the workout.

Poolside Cookout at The Ballantyne

The Ballantyne will offer a poolside cookout from 6 to 9 p.m. for registered hotel guests. Enjoy a cocktail and hamburger or hotdog while unwinding after a busy week and listen to Steel Drummer Nate Brown, $21 (plus tax and gratuity).

 

Saturday, May 28

Yoga & Mimosas with Atha Yoga

This week’s Yoga & Mimosas, brought to you by Northwood Office, will be a 45-minute power flow class led by Atha Yoga. The workout will start at 10 a.m. in Ballantyne’s Backyard. Afterward, stay for a refreshing mimosa. Participants will stream the class through DropSound (silent disco), noise-isolating headphones that allow you to focus more on your breath and less on those distractions! Village at Robinson Farm Farmers Market

The farmers market at the Village at Robinson Farm is open 9 a.m.-3 p.m on Saturdays and Wednesdays. Shop for plants, vegetables, fruit, berries and more. Pro tip: If you have a reusable bag from the farmers market, bring it with you! Customers who use their bags will be randomly chosen to receive a gift card to one of the shops or restaurants on site. Bring Family and Friends to Ballantyne’s Backyard

Connect with nature and enjoy the area’s newest, privately-owned community park located on the former golf course. Ballantyne’s Backyard features over 100 acres of green space with miles of running and walking trails, rolling hills and fishing ponds for the enjoyment of your friends, family and well-behaved, leashed pets. Pro tip: This weekend, guests to Ballantyne’s Backyard will see recently painted picnic tables care of ArtPop Street Gallery. Look for art by Reid Bramall, @swych19, and Brian Michelotti, @hobo_husband. Artists will paint 12 tables in total, and we hear Michelotti might be out painting on Saturday. Info and directions.

Local Ukrainian family Julia Watson, her mom Galina and her sister Marina are donating 30% of all sales from Crepe Bistro to the Ukrainian Civil Society Organization’s E+ Initiative. In addition to crepes, they offer sandwiches, paninis, waffles, wraps, salads and omelets.
